For the Salad:
1 pound Bacon, Thick Sliced & Hickory Smoked
2 cups Tomatoes, (If Grape Tomatoes, cut in half, otherwise cut in ¾ inch pieces)
½ head Iceberg Lettuce, Cut in 1-inch pieces
1 head Romaine, Cut in 1-inch pieces
2 cups Large Garlic Croutons
Optional Ingredients Include: Red Onion, Arugula, Red Leaf Lettuce, Baby Spinach
For the Salad Dressing:
1 cup Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon Prepared Horseradish (Optional)
¼ teaspoon Granulated Garlic
¼ teaspoon Dry Dill Weed
To Taste Salt & Pepper
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Arrange the bacon slices side by side on a small rimmed baking pan, overlapping slightly if necessary.
Step 2
Bake bacon, removing sheet from oven and turning slices with tongs halfway through, until slices are fully cooked and crisp.
Step 3
Cool bacon, then break into 1-inch pieces.
Step 4
In a mixing bowl, add lettuces, tomatoes and bacon. Toss
Step 5
Whisk together all of the Salad Dressing ingredients, add to the salad and toss.
Step 6
Plate salad and garnish with croutons on top.
