Enjoy a Labor Day with Cattleman’s Huge Selection of Pork Cuts for Your Grilling and Barbecue Menus

Whether your plans are for grilling or barbecuing this upcoming Labor Day, you can be sure that most everyone’s menu will include some pork.

Cattleman’s has an amazing selection of pork cuts and larger primal cuts to satisfy every tasty recipe you love to cook.

Starting with our larger primal cuts, our whole, bone-in and boneless pork loins are not only a great value, but our butchers can trim and cut them into any thickness you prefer, from thin, to extra thick. And that’s especially convenient for those of you who love those double rib chops!

Also, from the loin and down through the rib area, take your choice of Baby Back, Spare or St. Louis Style Ribs for your grilling or smoking needs. Each have their own unique qualities.

Further (south), we come to the belly, and pork belly, which has become very popular with Chef’s for its juicy, tender meat lying between its flavorful fat. And when smoked low and slow, it’s paradise.

And less we forget, bacon, which is a great wrap around so many grilled pork items.

If your passion is pulled pork, head towards the head area, where the Boston Butt / Shoulder Primal Cut resides. Again, cooked low and slow, then pulled into the familiar tasty chunks and shreds, when slathered afterwards with your favorite barbecue sauce, it’s heaven on a plate, or a bun.

Another option for this cut, are pork kabobs, which, when skewered alternately with onion, peppers or even pineapple make a fabulous summer grilled entrée.

Lastly, while grilling or barbecuing with all of the afore mentioned cuts may suit any of your menu needs, let’s not leave out the ham!

Grilled ham steaks are a very popular choice for outdoor grilling as well. And again, why not pick up a fresh pineapple from our produce department and grill thick slices of it to accompany your ham. It’s a classic.
