Ingredients
2 pounds Chicken Wings. Uncooked
2 cups Half and Half or Milk

2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
2 tablespoons Salt
1/3 cup Savvy Goose Nashville Hot Seasoning

Optional 1 Cup Ranch Dressing (For Dipping)
TOSS WITH THIS BUTTER SAUCE
1 stick Butter
2 tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Pickle Juice
2 tablespoons Savvy Goose Nashville Hot Seasoning
Step 1
In a mixing bowl large enough to hold all of the chicken wings, beat together the half and half, eggs, and 3 tablespoons of the Nashville Hot Seasoning.
Step 2
Place the chicken wings in the seasoned half and half mixture, cover and allow to marinate 3 to 6 hours (or, overnight)
Step 3
Place the vegetable oil in a large sauce pot or deep skillet and heat to 300 F. Also pre-heat your oven to 350 F.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, the 1/3 cup of Nashville Hot Seasoning, the cornstarch and salt.
Step 5
Flour each wing by lifting it out of the half and half marinated shaking off any excess liquid and tossing it in the flour mixture until well coated. Shake off any excess flour and carefully place each wing in the hot oil being careful not to crowd them too close together.
Step 6
Fry the wings, turned each piece over occasionally, until they are a medium reddish brown and have cooked approximately 10 minutes. Place all the wings together on a baking sheet and after all are fried, bake in a 350F oven until the internal temperature of the meat is 165F.
Step 7
While the wings are in the oven, melt the 1 stick of butter and whisk in the brown sugar, pickle juice and Nashville Hot Seasoning.
Step 8
Remove the wings from the oven when fully cooked and place in a large bowl. Add the butter sauce. Toss to coat the wings evenly and serve.

A Little Story About This Dish…
Nashville hot, is, quite simply, a version of Southern fried chicken, but with a “hot” (yet hauntingly sweet) taste.
Paired with the acidity of a dill pickle the combination of savory, juicy chicken, the acidity of a pickle and the prominent heat of its spicy seasonings, they all come together perfectly for a one of a kind chicken experience.
Nashville Hot chicken goes all the way back to the 1930’s, but this dish really became famous in the early 1970’s.
Today, you see versions of this famous recipe in most every chicken franchise you visit.
