Beef Taco Meat Filling

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

½ cup Spanish Onions, Diced ¼”

1/3 cup Green Bell Pepper, Diced ¼”

2 cloves Garlic, Chopped Fine

2 pounds Ground Beef

1 tablespoon Ground Cumin

2 tablespoons Dark Chili Powder

¼ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

2 tablespoons Light Brown Sugar

2 tablespoons Tomato Paste

1 teaspoon Kosher or Sea Salt

½ teaspoon Dry Oregano, Crushed

Step 1

Heat in a sauce pot and sauté onions, peppers and garlic for 3 minutes.

Step 2

Add ground beef and cook, while stirring, until browned.

Step 3

Drain off all excess liquid and grease except for ¼ cup.

Step 4

Add all remaining ingredients and stir in.

Step 5

Simmer 5 minutes on low heat.

Step 6

Remove from the sauce pot and use as desired. Chill any remaining taco beef, package and freeze for future use.
